health care haters and burritors

Tonight I wanted to brush up on the proposed health care reform so I dragged my ass from Torrance to Alhambra for a townhall meeting on the subject presented by Congressional Rep. Adam Schiff.

Unfortunately I couldn't hear the issues cuz of the hecklers drowning out the panel. Some of the dissnters wrote on their placards that they were part of "The Mob." They said they weren't recruited by any big organizations. One guy shouted over Schiff and yelled at him to take a pill. An elderly man near the stage asked a shrill woman to quiet down so he could hear the discussion. She just kept yapping over him. Lyndon LaRouche douchebags held up huge pictures of Obama with a hitler mustache.
Obama supporters countered the "Mob." They flashed smaller signs reading "Thank you." They applauded the panel. They jostled with the protestors for spaces near the stage so they could wave their signs. Two pro-health bill kids picketed the douchebag's sign.

When one guy asked Schiff if he would support the health care bill if he constituents didn't, the Rep. replied that most of his district supports the bill. The haters booed and one woman screamed traitor. This dude yelled that he was a traitor and he likes Trader Joes.

Afterward I searched for a quick, cheap dinner at Ricks Main Street Diner. I ordered a salad burrito without cheese because I could use the fiber and veggies. For about $3.50 I got shreded lettuck, tomatoes, 1000 Island dressing wrapped in a huge tortilla. The dressing and tortilla went together OK but it shouldn't have cost more than $2. Shoulda got the fish tacos instead.
